Custom Channel Letter Signs in Los Angeles

Channel letters are individual 3D letters and logo shapes mounted to your building. They are the most common sign for storefronts, plazas and office buildings because they read clearly from the street and can be lit for night visibility. We design, fabricate and install them across Greater Los Angeles.

Options

Channel letter styles

The right style depends on your brand, your wall, and how the sign needs to look at night.

Front-lit

Light shines through coloured acrylic faces. The classic, brightest option for retail and restaurants.

Back-lit (halo-lit)

Light washes the wall behind solid letters for a soft halo. Popular for offices, salons and upscale brands.

Front & back-lit

Combines a lit face with a halo glow for extra depth and night presence.

Non-illuminated

Fabricated 3D letters without lighting, for daytime visibility or where lighting isn’t allowed.

Raceway or direct mount

Letters mounted on a painted raceway (fewer wall penetrations) or individually on the wall.

Logo shapes & cabinets

Your logo cut as a matching channel shape or a lit cabinet next to the letters.

Installation & permits

Installed, with permits in mind

Most exterior signs in Los Angeles cities need landlord approval and a sign permit, and lit signs also involve electrical requirements. We review your landlord criteria and the city’s requirements as part of the project, prepare the drawings that are needed, and let you know what applies to your location before fabrication starts.

Our crew handles the installation, including lifts and boom trucks when needed.

Questions

Channel Letters FAQ

How long does a channel letter sign take?

It depends on the design, landlord approval and the city’s permit process. We give you a timeline with your quote rather than a one-size-fits-all number.

Do I need a permit for channel letters?

In most Los Angeles-area cities, yes. We check the requirements for your address and help prepare what is needed.

Can you match my logo and colours?

Yes. Send us your logo (vector if possible) and brand colours, and we will design the letters to match.

Can you repair or relight existing channel letters?

Yes. See our sign repair service for LED upgrades, face replacements and repairs.

Artwork & photos that help us quote

  • Your logo as a vector file (AI, EPS, SVG or PDF) if you have it - a clear PNG or JPG is fine to start.
  • A straight-on photo of the wall, window, vehicle or site where the sign will go.
  • Rough measurements of the space, and any size limits from your landlord or city.
  • Brand colours (Pantone or hex codes) if you know them.

Planning channel letters for your storefront?

Tell us about your location and we will follow up with options and a written estimate.
