Lightbox & Cabinet Signs

A lightbox (cabinet) sign is an enclosed box with printed or vinyl faces lit from inside. It is a cost-effective way to put a bright, easy-to-read sign on a wall, a pole, or a multi-tenant pylon, and the faces can be replaced later when your branding changes.

Installation & permits

Install and permits

New illuminated cabinets usually need a sign permit and an electrical connection. Face replacements in an existing permitted cabinet are often simpler. We check what applies at your address and include it in the plan.

Why choose this sign

  • Bright, even lighting at night
  • Faces can be updated later without replacing the whole sign
  • Works on walls, poles and multi-tenant pylons

Questions

Lightbox & Cabinet Signs FAQ

Can you replace just the faces on my existing sign?

Yes. We measure the cabinet and produce new faces to fit.

Can you convert my old cabinet to LED?

Often, yes. We inspect the cabinet first to confirm it is in good enough condition.

Do lightbox signs need permits?

New lit signs usually do. Requirements vary by city, and we check them for your location.

Artwork & photos that help us quote

  • Your logo as a vector file (AI, EPS, SVG or PDF) if you have it - a clear PNG or JPG is fine to start.
  • A straight-on photo of the wall, window, vehicle or site where the sign will go.
  • Rough measurements of the space, and any size limits from your landlord or city.
  • Brand colours (Pantone or hex codes) if you know them.
